Founded by two industry veterans, K&M Communications Services launched to help customers seamlessly and cost-effectively maintain legacy in-building wireless systems. This approach allows customers to replace their equipment on their terms. Given the current market conditions, many customers do not want to replace the systems until the time is right. K&M gives customers options that will enable them to maintain their networks and migrate when it makes the most business sense.
For 30 years customers embraced the use of in-building wireless technologies to ensure secure, clear communications throughout their sites. Since the deployments of the first 900 MHz systems; hospitals, manufacturing facilities, warehousing, and retail businesses have been addressing their communication needs with these wireless devices. These legacy networks are now being obsoleted and abandoned by the manufacturers. Customers are being forced to sink massive capital expense into upgrading their systems. Our philosophy is just because something is old, it does not make it obsolete.
K&M identified solutions for this “end of life” process for the in-building wireless space. These devices & networks still have plenty of working life left, in many cases, these customers prefer using them. Customers are anxious and dismayed with the investment of time, money, development, and training it will take to upgrade these systems. Many businesses are working with reduced staff and onboarding new equipment is one more thing they don’t need to manage. As the saying goes “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. If you have a 900MHz system or 802.11 devices that are deemed “end of life”, we can help you maintain and support those devices.
K&M Communications Services helps customers maintain networks and migrate to the new technologies on their OWN timeframe. We can even assist you with your legacy system when you decide the time is right for an upgrade.

Kevin Conway and Mike Cronin have been in the wireless and telecommunications industries for a combined 70 years. K&M realized that the industry was beginning to obsolete technology before its time. Many of these networks and systems are still viable and yet the manufacturers will no longer support them. K&M Communications Services was formed to help customers navigate this challenge.
Kevin Conway
Kevin Conway spent the last 30 years leading the design and engineering of in-building wireless devices. One of the original engineers at Spectralink when they conceived and patented in-building wireless communications. Conway influenced the development, designing, validation, manufacturing, quality & RMA of every device the company internally produced. His technical direction led Spectralink from a start-up to a publicly-traded company with revenues over $200M.
Mike Cronin
Mike Cronin has been in the telecommunications industry since 1984. In 1997, he joined the SpectraLink team to head the sales and marketing efforts. Under Mike’s direction, Spectralink became the leader of in-building wireless communication. He brought to market the first 802.11 in-building wireless phones. Cronin championed the acceptance of these systems and created an international market for in-building wireless VOIP. He was instrumental in creating the standard for voice prioritization, which guaranteed voice quality for these networks. He built OEM relationships with, Avaya, NEC, Nortel, and Siemens.
